Goals should be fun!

Like many people, I like to set goals as a way of clarifying my direction in life. However, I've had mixed success when it comes to actually achieving them, as I'd sometimes procrastinate and sabotage my progress in others ways. In the end I felt quite disillusioned with the goal setting process, let my goals go, and kind of drifted for a bit, which wasn't satisfying either.

But I missed having those inspiring goals, and wanted to begin again, but without the negative experiences I'd come to associate with goal-setting. It's only relatively recently that I've come to realise why I didn't always make the progress I wanted, and started to approach goal-setting from a different perspective. Now I'm enjoying the process again, and I've written a short article on my site about why.
